We Will Rock You in Leeds

The last time Queen were in Leeds was May 1982 when they filled Elland Road Stadium with over 40,000 fans.  Nearly 30 years later, and exactly 20 years after Freddie’s death, the West End Musical We Will Rock You has hit the city bringing with it 24 classic Queen songs in a phenomenal, award -winning show.

Over 11 million theatregoers in 17 countries have seen the Olivier Award Winning show.  Now it’s time for Yorkshire!

The show went down a storm on the opening night with Leeds actress Gaynor Faye (former Coronation Street star and soon to be in Emmerdale). “It’s a fantastic show,” said Gaynor. “It makes you want to get all your old vinyls out!  It’s always good to see something like this in your home city.”

The audience took to their feet as the award-winning show belted out classic Queen tracks including Another One Bites The Dust and We Are The Champions.
