The heat is on at the World Curry Festival

Yorkshire turns up the heat this weekend (1-3 October) as Leeds hosts The World Curry Festival.

Saturday and Sunday see a family weekend of curry and culture as Millennium Square becomes a colourful and exotic marketplace of flavours, sights and sounds from around the world, with traders selling international dishes and specialty products while local suppliers purvey the finest Yorkshire produce and accessories.

The region’s top Michelin-starred chefs go head to head win a curry cook-off with some of their international rivals. The Restaurant in Festival Square introduces a menu of spicy fine dining, there’s curry from Asia, Africa, America and Europe to sample from an array of street vendor stalls, and on Saturday night there’s an opportunity to see broadcaster and comedian Hardeep Singh Kohli as you’ve never seen him before in The Nearly Naked Chef – an evening of curry and comedy.
